As part of our responsible management protocols, we have determined a project management plan in collaboration with our construction company that is designed to mitigate the impact of these works on our community. Mitigation measures, including
• Hoardings to contain the works, limiting dust and noise
• Wayfinding signage to direct customers to other car parks
• Employment of traffic management specialists to be based on-site
• Containment of work to outside peak trade area times
• Regular communication with our customers.
We are pleased to confirm that we have commenced site establishment works in the lower ground car park underneath Coles, in preparation for a series of planned upgrade works at Canberra Centre.
As a result of these works, a number of car parks in the lower ground basement level 1 car park will be removed. Alternative parking can be found at the other Canberra Centre car parks including Target, Aldi and Big W.
These works have begun on Wednesday 21st April. At this stage, it is still too early to share any further details, but we look forward to making some exciting announcements in the near future.
Canberra Centre will remain open as usual throughout these works, and we will be working to minimise any disruption for our community as part of our comprehensive project management plan.
We thank our community for their patience and cooperation during these works, and we look forward to sharing further updates with you as we reach key milestones.
