GOOD NIGHT TO YOU, LEO GRANDE Opening Night film 7:00pm Wed 15th Jun the film will also screen 9:15pm Fri 17th Jun
Academy Award winner Emma Thompson delivers a phenomenal performance in the delightful comedy GOOD LUCK TO YOU, LEO GRANDE from Australian director Sophie Hyde. Thompson plays Nancy, a retired, widowed schoolteacher yearning for a bit of adventure and a dash of sex. Good sex, that is. The kind she’s never known. In a hotel room, Nancy greets Leo, a dashingly handsome sex worker who delivers conversation as equally satisfying as fornication. Over the course of three rendezvous, the power dynamics shift and their well-worn masks begin to slip. Genuinely funny, refreshingly frank, and ridiculously charming, this earnest study of sexuality, self-love, and human connection is a true gem.
