Return for Charity Bins at Canberra Centre

We’re excited to announce the launch of our Return for Charity Bins, now available at two convenient locations within Canberra Centre. In partnership with the ACT Container Deposit Scheme, we are making it easier than ever for you to give back to the community while doing your part to reduce waste.

Where to Find the Bins

• Lower Ground Food Court – Near the escalators
• Outside of Bakers Delight.

Simply bring your eligible drink containers, such as bottles and cans, and drop them into the Return for Charity Bins. With every container you return, you’ll not only be helping to reduce litter and recycle, but you’ll also be donating 10 cents directly to a local charity.

How It Works:

1. Take your eligible drink containers (bottles and cans).
2. Drop them into the Return for Charity bins located in the Food Court and Coles Mall.
3. The 10c refund will be counted and donated to charity on your behalf.
4. Feel good knowing you’ve contributed to a great cause!

Partnering with Rise Above Capital Region Cancer Relief

We’re proud to announce our next partnership with Rise Above Capital Region Cancer Relief - an organisation who have dedicated themselves to reducing the emotional and financial burden on families affected by cancer. For more than 39 years, they have provided financial assistance to individuals of any age and with any diagnosis across the ACT and Queanbeyan-Palerang region. 

By using the Return for Charity bins, your 10-cent donation will contribute to helping Rise Above continue their commitment in providing financial assistance for medication relating to treatment for cancer, chemotherapy, food supplements, petrol vouchers, electricity accounts and fertility preservation.
