New Landfill and Cardboard Compactors

Your guide to using the new centre compactors

Canberra Centre is excited to have launched our new Landfill and Cardboard Compactors in most of our loading docks. We will also be rolling out Organic collections and Soft Plastics over the following two months. These units are equipped with access control and weighing technology to allow us to monitor and work with high users on what we can do to reduce waste. Read on to for your guide to using the new center compactor.

Where can I dispose of my waste?

Compactors are located across the centre loading docs please refer to the below map for your nearest location:

Please note organics and soft plastic bins are coming soon.

What if the type of waste I’m looking to dispose of isn’t listed on the map?

Canberra Centre management can also coordinate the disposal of E-waste, scrap metal, bulky goods and polystyrene.

If you are unsure how to dispose of something or need to dispose of one of these groups, please email our Waste Officer Adnan Albayrak at [email protected], or phone 0461 297 808.

It is the responsibility of each retailer to ensure that their milk crates, pallets and kegs are being collected by their delivery drivers. Under no circumstances should this form of rubbish be disposed of in docks or skips.

What should I do if I need a new Compactor key?

If you lose your key or require additional FOBs, please email [email protected].

For any additional follow up questions please contact our Waste Officer Adnan Albayrak at [email protected], or phone 0461 297 808.
