Thursday 18 September marks the highly anticipated opening of Canberra Centre’s new Australian Designer Precinct, bringing some of the country’s most coveted brands to the capital – including a brand-new MECCA store, July Luggage, Rebecca Vallance, Scanlan Theodore and Viktoria & Woods.

After months of transformation, Ainslie Mall is set to open with the official unveiling of the new precinct on Thursday 18 September. The redevelopment, which commenced earlier this year, will deliver a more premium and personalised shopping experience and features a curated selection of Australian fashion and beauty icons, many opening in Canberra for the very first time.

Among them is MECCA, whose new Canberra Centre store will offer customers an immersive and elevated beauty experience, featuring; MECCA Apothecary, a dedicated Perfumeria, semi-private skin beds for personalised treatments, and a curated brand line-up featuring cult favourites. To celebrate their opening, MECCA will be giving away a Beauty Loop gift to the first 4,000 customers to make a purchase, plus more exclusive offers, and in-store experiences.

Marking the launch of its first and only Canberra boutique, iconic Australian brand Viktoria & Woods is celebrating with an exclusive in-store experience. The first 30 customers will be treated to a beautiful bouquet of the brand's signature white tulips, along with light refreshments. To further celebrate the occasion, customers will receive a $50 gift voucher with a purchase of $500 or more, or a $100 gift voucher when they spend over $1,000.

Additionally, July Luggage who are known for reimaging travel with sleek design and considered functionality are treating the first 100 customers through the doors to a complimentary gift.

Celebrated Australian designer Rebecca Vallance is joining the mix, known for her signature blend of structured tailoring, elegant silhouettes, and refined femininity. With a global following and collections that move effortlessly from day to evening, her arrival marks a new era of elevated occasion wear in Canberra.

Also new to the Centre is Scanlan Theodore, a powerhouse of modern Australian fashion defined by its minimalist aesthetic, premium craftsmanship, and timeless design, perfect for the discerning style-conscious shopper.

Kookai will join the precinct shortly after, opening Saturday 20 September.

To mark the occasion, Canberra Centre is offering a special gift-with-purchase incentive across the opening weekend. Shoppers who spend $250 or more between Thursday 18 and Sunday 21 September will receive a complimentary gift valued between $20 and $400.
