About the performers:

Duncan Smith and his daughter, Jakida Smith, form a father-daughter duo dedicated to sharing Aboriginal culture. Duncan was born on Wiradjuri Country in Wellington, NSW, and spent his early years immersed in cultural learning—painting with family members and elders, participating in traditional dances, and joining community leaders on hunting and gathering trips. Today, Duncan and Jakida work together to pass on the richness of Aboriginal culture through art, storytelling, and dance. They are deeply committed to making a positive impact within the Wiradjuri community and helping preserve its enduring traditions.
